Melamine cabinets don’t have anti-tilt and would more easily tip over if the filing cabinets were made deeper.

If your office has limited space and you are after a stylish option for filing, consider an Express Sydney Melamine filing cabinet. They have a physical [or outside] depth of 550mm, and an inside draw depth of 380mm. This is smaller than that of the steel cabinets. Match one to your existing office furniture from The Barn, with a choice of Beech/Ironstone, Cherry/Ironstone or Wild Cherry.

Alternatively if you are interested in a standard steel filing cabinet, our Express Sydney steel filing cabinets are competitively priced and built to American quality standards. (These are higher than Australian standards). They have an outside [or physical] depth of 640mm, and an inside draw depth of 530mm. They are fitted with a lock and Anti-Tilt Locking mechanism, and are available in grey, beige and black.

I never used melamine and I don't like to try that to fill my cabinet varnish and paint are still okay for furniture.
